I write about travel and city life for a site called Where to Stay . When I need to inspire myself during the day, I listen to podcasts. One of them is called The Bedbug Podcast , which is hosted by two friends of mine: Chris Blades and Stefanie Posavec. Night Ants is an American rock band from San Francisco. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Xander Whitehouse, bass guitarist Avi Viswanath, drummer Matthew Harris, keyboardist Max Harper and rhythm guitarist Noah Schneider.

Their sound has been described as rock with elements of blues, alternative and pop. Night Ants’ influences include Foo Fighters, Muse and The Beatles among others.

The band has released two albums: “Sleeping With Lions” in 2016 and “Shadows In The Dark” in 2018 both produced by Kevin Mabry (Linkin Park).

It was a dark and stormy night. You were working late when the lights went out and left you in complete darkness. You stumbled around in the dark trying to find your flashlight, but when you finally did, it didn’t work! It had run out of batteries and there were no spares anywhere in sight (and no way you were going to go back up those stairs). Finally, after much searching, someone located some candles and matches. The room seemed brighter now as everyone gathered around their respective candlelight sources for warmth and comfort—but then something strange happened: the flames flickered wildly before going out completely! A moment later they returned, but not quite as brightly. This continued until each candle was burning with only a dim glow remaining from its wick—and then the lights came back on! The staff breathed a collective sigh of relief…but then one person noticed something strange about their candle flame: it was flickering erratically like before!
