Natural Pesticide For Worms
Step 1
In order to successfully make your own natural pesticide for worms, it is vital that you have all the ingredients and tools ready before starting. You will need:
- A small bowl or container filled with water
- A cloth (old pillow cases work great)
- Salt
- Vinegar or citrus juice
Mix ingredients
- Start with a 1:1 ratio of mineral oil and dish soap.
- Put the mixture in a spray bottle, then shake well to mix.
Combine a ¼ cup of mineral oil with 2 tsp. of liquid dish soap in a bucket. Stir the mixture well to blend it thoroughly.
As the name suggests, you will need to combine a ¼ cup of mineral oil with 2 tsp. of liquid dish soap in a bucket. Stir the mixture well to blend it thoroughly. Then fill up the spray bottle with water and add this mixture to it.
Once your spray is ready, simply adjust your nozzle according to your needs and start spraying on infected plants or soil around them.
Step 2
- Make sure you have all the ingredients ready, including:
- a glass jar with a cover
- a few drops of dish soap (you can also use vegetable oil)
- water
- cotton balls or swabs and tweezers
- Ensure that you have the right equipment: gloves, eye protection, and paper towels. If there are spills in your kitchen or on your skin, wash them off with soap and water. Wipe down surfaces to remove any residue. Also be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after handling pesticides!
Apply the pesticide
To apply the pesticide, fill your sprayer to the fill line with water. Then add ¼ teaspoon of pesticide for every gallon of spray mixture. That’s 1 tablespoon for a 5-gallon bucket.
Spray both sides of the leaves and avoid applying when temperatures are above 80 degrees Fahrenheit—it can cause staining on leaves.
Pour the pesticide into a garden sprayer. Spray the leaves of your plants with the pesticide. Make sure to spray both sides of the leaves. Apply the pesticide in late afternoon, when temperatures are below 80 degrees Fahrenheit, to avoid damaging your plants.
The next step is to pour the pesticide into a garden sprayer. Spray the leaves of your plants with the pesticide. Make sure to spray both sides of the leaves, as worms are small and can hide in tiny places. Apply the pesticide in late afternoon, when temperatures are below 80 degrees Fahrenheit, to avoid damaging your plants.
You can get rid of worms naturally using mineral oil and dish soap.
This is a natural pesticide for worms that’s safe to use around food. The two ingredients of this recipe, mineral oil and dish soap, are both natural substances that are harmless to humans and the environment. This means you can use this pesticide on homegrown crops without worrying about making things unsafe for your family if they eat it later.
But how does it work? When you rub the leaves with the solution, it makes them slippery, which makes it harder for worms to get their mouths around them. Since most of their energy goes into eating leaves and less into growing new body parts (like legs), this slows down their growth rate significantly over time—and eventually kills off any remaining pests in your garden bed!
