Alcohol can be used in conjunction with other methods, such as flea collars or sprays, or even just regular cleaning of your house or yard. You’ll want to use alcohol after vacuuming up any dead or dying fleas, which means that if you want to do this yourself, you should do so every day for about a week after applying alcohol.
Want to know if alcohol can kill fleas?
Well, the answer is yes and no. That’s right—it depends on the type of alcohol you’re using.
If you’re using rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol, it’s safe to say that it won’t do anything at all to your fleas. These types of alcohols are too weak and not potent enough to kill the pests.
However, if you were to use something like ethanol (which is much stronger), then yes—it’s likely that it could kill them. But be careful! The reason why rubbing alcohol doesn’t work is because it’s only about 50% ethanol. You’d need a much higher concentration for it to be effective at killing fleas.
So if you’re thinking about trying this method out on yourself or your pets, just make sure that whatever kind of alcohol you use has at least 70% ethanol in it before applying it directly onto their fur or skin!
