I have found that using dryer sheets when you’re drying your clothes can make them smell really good. However, I recently discovered what I like to call Bed Bug Dryer Sheets. This specific product can be used the same way regular dryer sheets are used, but it will make your clothing smell like mint and lavender, which makes them smell clean and fresh. You can also use dryer sheets in your car to kill bed bugs. This method is effective because the plastic container traps and suffocates the bed bugs, preventing them from escaping.

Use this method on hard surfaces that may have bed bugs such as:

• Furniture
• Car seats
• Pillows

• Don’t use a clothes dryer. The heat from the dryer can kill bed bugs, but it also increases the risk of spreading them.
• Use a clothes line or drying rack instead of hanging things in your apartment for several days to let them air out. This may seem silly at first, but remember that some people have enough clothes to fill an entire closet!
• It’s best to keep your clothes in the dryer for less than 10 minutes on high heat so that none of their eggs are hatched by accident (and then killed). If you’re using an actual “dry” setting on your machine, make sure it says something like “wrinkle-free” or “air only.” Otherwise, you may not be getting all of them killed off before putting them away!
