People eating cockroaches? It’s true, these are real images from restaurants in China. I’ve a hard time believing that people are making a choice to eat cockroaches! There’s an old story about a guy who made a bet with some of his close friends and promised that he would eat cockroaches for a whole week if he lost. Being the tense, competitive kind of guy that he was, this guy had no problem trumping his friends in one of their Sunday afternoon football games and losing the bet. Well, come Monday morning, that particular guy realized that his new problem was to find cockroaches to eat for the rest of the week, not one.

The most unique thing about cockroaches is that they are considered to be one of the most primitive forms of life on earth.
In addition to being a very hardy insect, cockroaches have been around for a long time. The oldest fossilized cockroach was discovered in Dominican amber and was dated at approximately 40 million years old. They have been around since before the dinosaurs and will probably be around after we die out.
Cockroaches can survive almost anything, including nuclear fallout and even outer space. They have been known to live up to 50 days without food or water, which is longer than some animals can go without food or water!
The most common type of cockroach is the German Cockroach (Blattella germanica), which has been found all over the world. It lives in sewers, drains, basements and other damp places where it can find food easily by scavenging rubbish bins or garbage dumps for scraps left behind by humans.
Another interesting fact about these little guys is that they eat their own dead bodies when there isn’t enough food around for them – this helps them survive longer when there isn’t enough food available for them out in nature!
We all know that humans are the ultimate omnivores. That’s why one man in Thailand was so stunned when he caught a woman eating cockroaches in public.
It happened during a festival at the Wat Bang Khun Pha temple in Bangkok, Thailand. The man, who has so far not been identified, witnessed the woman “scooping up and eating” the insects from a plate on display at the event.

He shared his experience online and said he was shocked and disgusted by what he saw. He also said that he had never seen anything like it before but thought it was “disgusting” and “unhygienic.”
