How To Deal With Ants

Ants are literally one of the most annoying things on a warm sunny day. You lay out in your backyard and an ant walks over you and you jump up because it feels like it’s burning you. But them there ants were just doing their business. Ants can be so annoying that they give you a bad name or even ruin your favorite fleece blanket or pantry. But they were just doing what they was meant to do, find food and protect their colony. Today I am going to tell you how to deal with ants.

Ants!  Ugh, the nasty minuscule bugs that can be a huge pain in your ass if you aren’t careful. They’re always there, crawling around, causing havoc and making a mess. But did you know there are proven ways you can use to get rid of those creepy crawly creatures? If you’re wondering how to deal with ants, then you definitely need these tips. You see, I have fought them in my house for years and just recently won my battle. We tried everything and I mean everything; chemicals, non-toxic sprays, homemade concoctions and every other thing that you can think of, but the most effective thing was to build them a fall out shelter in our flower beds! Yep, it’s crazy and much easier said than done, but the fact is that they problem is not going away until you get rid of their source: A mound made from dead ant bodies. So we had two choices; 1. Knock down the entire mound (which would take days) & rebuild it each night (which I am sure wouldn’t go over well with your significant other or neighbors). 2. Find a way to convince the ants to move elsewhere.

How To Deal With Ants

Ants can be a problem in your house. It is important to know how to deal with ants before they become an infestation. There are many different types of ants and they all have different life cycles. The most common type of ant that you will find in your home is called the Argentine ant. The Argentine ant has a very short life cycle which means it can multiply very quickly if it is not controlled. If you have these types of ants in your house it is important to take action before they get out of control.

Some things that you can do to keep your home free from ants include:

• Clean up any food or liquid spills around your house right away so that they don’t attract more ants.

• Keep any pet food or water dishes inside or in covered containers so that they don’t attract more ants.

• Keep food items sealed in containers and do not leave them out on counters overnight so that they don’t attract more ants.

• Sweep up any crumbs, dust bunnies or other debris from around your house daily so that there is nothing for the ants to eat while they are looking for food outside their nests during the day time hours when most people are awake Ants are a common pest in many homes and can be a serious problem for those with pets. If you have an ant infestation, here are some steps to take so that you can handle the problem yourself.

1. Inspect your home for ants. Look around baseboards and windowsills, as well as inside cabinets and drawers. You may find that ants are nesting inside your walls or under the floorboards of your home, so don’t stop at the surface areas of your home when inspecting for ants.

2. Use borax powder to kill off ants by mixing 1 tablespoon of borax into 1 gallon of water and spraying it over the ant-infested areas of your home. Remember to cover surfaces that could potentially be damaged by moisture (such as wood floors) with plastic wrap before spraying them with this mixture; also make sure to avoid getting any of it onto plants or other greenery outside in your garden or yard (although some people report success using this method on their lawns).

3. If you notice that there is an ant trail leading away from your house toward another building or structure nearby such as a shed or barn), place some bait traps near these trails so that they will
