I have a couple of indoor cats, so this means I’m receiving much needed help battling outside fleas that are on my property. At first I was loathe to go out and spray everything with a bunch of chemicals twice a month — yuck! I also balked at spending money on non-targeted products such as collars, but I was getting desperate having had numerous conversations with neighbors who are experiencing the same problem. You love your dog but when you get home from work, you find that they have been infested with fleas.  You want to keep them, but also don’t want them to be yucky and itchy!

Next, spray down all surfaces with a pesticide that contains permethrin or spinosad (or both).
