Bed Bug Bites What To Do

You found creepy, skin-crawling bed bug bites all over your body. You were bitten by bed bugs and want to know what to do about it. Here are my personal suggestions and tactics that I used and I’m sure will help you deal with the pest bite of a bedbug. I was dealing with bed bug bites a few months back. I had no idea how to treat them. I also didn’t know all the signs that I needed to look for, so it’s no wonder that I contracted five different types of viruses from them. This post is my gift to you. It will help you combat those nasty things and even avoid them in the first place. Bed bugs don’t discriminate. They have decided to make their home inside of us and it is up to us to get rid of them. Bed bugs are one of the most difficult insects to eradicate and anyone who has dealt with bed bug infestation knows how awful they are. I don’t want any poor soul to think that you cannot cure yourself from this horrible pest.

Bed Bug Bites What To Do

Forewarned is forearmed

You’re forewarned is forearmed. If you know what to look for, you can spot bedbugs early on before they bite into your skin. This will help ensure that the infestation doesn’t spread to other areas of your home or business, and it could help prevent a more serious situation from developing.

The first thing to look for are clusters of tiny brownish-red spots along with dark red streaks called fecal stains on mattresses, sheets, and furniture upholstery. These stains are actually the excrement left behind by these pests after feeding on human blood at night when we sleep peacefully in our beds without knowing what lurks under our covers until we wake up with irritation from their bites! If there are none present yet but still suspect an infestation has taken place because of some other signs/symptoms then check carefully under your linens where you lay down each day before heading off work (or school). In addition to these telltale signs there may also be black specs around their hiding places too once they start reproducing rapidly which is why its important not only monitor closely but also act quickly when concerns arise so as not allow an issue become worse than necessary later down road…

You may not feel it at all.

When you’re bitten, you may not feel anything at all. Other times, your skin will swell slightly and turn red. You may also develop a small hive (also called a wheal) on the site of the bite after 24 to 48 hours.

If you’re allergic to bed bugs, then they can cause more severe reactions including:

  • Hives or welts
  • Swelling of the lips, eyes or face

There are a few tell-tale signs.

If you suspect that you have bed bugs, pay attention to the following signs. Bed bug bites are usually red and itchy. The bites will be grouped together in a small area, often forming a line or cluster on your body. They may also appear in a zig zag pattern across your body.

Bites from bed bugs can sometimes look like mosquito bites but they are much smaller and tend not to itch as badly as mosquito bites do. Bed bug bites also differ from flea or chigger bitings in that they don’t fade away after several days; instead, they stay red and irritated for up to one month after the initial bite takes place–even after applying lotions or creams like calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream which often do help with itching associated with other types of insect bites (mosquito/flea/chigger).

Bite marks often resemble other bug bites

If you think that you have bed bugs, it is important to seek the help of an experienced professional. Not all bug bites are from bed bugs and they can be hard to identify. Do not try spraying pesticides on your own unless you are absolutely certain that you have a bed bug infestation. There are some web sites available where people can post pictures of their bites and ask for help identifying them; however, this is not an accurate way to diagnose yourself or anyone else with bed bugs. If it is uncertain whether or not someone has been bitten by a bed bug, call in a professional exterminator who can accurately diagnose and treat the problem.

Bed bugs often resemble other biting insects such as mosquitoes, chiggers and fleas; however there are differences between these insects’ bites that make it easier for professionals to distinguish between them using only visual inspection tools like magnifying glasses or microscopes equipped with camera adapters (these types of tools allow professionals looking at skin samples under magnification see things as small as tiny parasites embedded in human tissue).

Be on the lookout for reddish stains on your sheets

You can also find reddish stains on your sheets, which may look like blood. These stains are from bedbugs that have been crushed and are uncommon in the early stages of infestation because they’re hard to spot until there are a lot of them. This is one reason why you should always be on alert for new bites and new sightings of bedbug feces. If you do notice these stains, check the seams of your mattress first since this is where many people find them hiding out during the day when they’re not feeding or laying eggs. In fact, if you find any kind of reddish stain on any part of your bedding (sheets included), don’t be surprised if it turns out to be from a crushed or dead bug!

If this happens at all once in awhile—or even once every few weeks—you’ll probably be fine without treatment unless it continues happening over time. But if this happens every night for weeks or months at a time then yes…get treatment ASAP because chances are very high that

you’ve got bigger problems than just some occasional bites here and there from something harmless like mosquitoes!

It can take up to two weeks for bites to appear

You may not notice bed bug bites right away. It can take up to two weeks for the red bumps and welt-like sores to appear. The reason it takes so long is that bed bugs inject an anticoagulant and anesthetic into your skin when they bite, making the bites less painful or itchy than they would be otherwise. Bed bug bites also look similar to mosquito bites, with a small white spot surrounded by redness on the skin, which then forms into a small bump or blister on top of your skin’s surface. If you see several tiny bumps clustered together in rows on different areas of your body, you may have been bitten by bed bugs.

It’s not just the bite you need to worry about.

Bed bugs can cause all sorts of problems that go beyond the itch and rash.

  • Allergic reactions to bed bug bites are common, even among people who have never had allergies before. These reactions can take the form of hives, rashes, and wheezing.
  • Anemia is also a risk with bed bug bites; this occurs because the saliva of these pests contains an anti-coagulant that prevents your blood from clotting properly. This means that if you suffer from anemia already (you may know this as having “low iron”), it’s especially important for you to be careful around bed bugs.
  • Although it’s not as serious as anemia, insomnia caused by bed bugs is still something to be aware of if your sleeping habits are already compromised by stress or anxiety—or even just being tired at night! Bed bugs like to feed during the night when no one’s watching, so if you’re sleeping alone in a room infested with them, there’s no guarantee they won’t come near enough for their bite marks to start itching right away (and thus keeping you awake!).

A few other things to look out for.

Bedbugs are a nuisance and they are difficult to get rid of. They can be found in beds, furniture and hotel rooms. Bedbugs use the heat from your body to keep themselves warm so you may not notice them at first. However, once they start feeding on your blood, you will begin to feel their bites.

The good news is that bedbug bites don’t cause serious health problems for most people who get them (though there are some exceptions). The bad news is that getting rid of bedbugs can be difficult because they hide during the day and come out only at night to feed on human blood. They also tend to move from place-to-place easily—often carried in suitcases or backpacks—so it’s important to check any new home carefully before moving in or bringing stuff into it from elsewhere!

Bedbugs are nasty and can be hard to see.

If you are seeing bites, it is likely that you have bedbugs. Bedbugs can be hard to see and they come in many different shapes and sizes. The most common bedbugs are flat, brownish in color, with six legs. Bedbugs are also small—smaller than a piece of lint—so if you don’t have a magnifying glass handy, they may not be easy to spot with the naked eye.
