Bed bugs reproduce rapidly and if you don’t treat immediately, the problem will quickly get out of control. Make sure you take some time to learn about the different types of eggs and how they look on your mattress or around your home. Knowledge is power when it comes to bed bug control. Bed bugs are bloodsucking insects that live on the blood of animals or humans. They have been known to be parasites on humans since as early as ancient Greece.  How can you tell if you have a bed bug infestation? Well, like most other pests, they are typically hiding in the dark secluded areas of your home. Bed bugs love to hide in places such as mattress seams, under mattresses and bed frames, behind picture frames, within papers for furniture, and even in electrical outlets. If you’re concerned that your home might be infested with bed bugs, it’s important to keep an eye out for signs of their presence. While some people are more easily able to identify an infestation than others, most people could benefit from a quick education on what bed bug eggs look like.

Bed bug eggs can be found in all stages of development—from newly laid eggs to those that are already hatched and ready to molt into nymphs (newly hatched bed bugs). The egg itself is about 1mm long, oval-shaped and translucent white or yellowish in color. It typically has a dark spot at one end that can vary from being hard-to-see to being completely blacked out by the blood meal inside it.

When pepper shakers are used at restaurants or catering events where food is prepared in bulk quantities, they often have pepper residue left over after the event has ended. This pepper residue may include small black dots which many people mistake for being peppercorns or other types of seeds when they see them on their pizza crusts at home later–when really those little black dots were actually leftover bits of ground up pepper!

If you think it does, you’re wrong.

If you think it’s a pepper, you’re wrong. Bed bug eggs are tiny and white (or cream colored), while a pepper is large and dark green in color with a bumpy surface. If the item looks like an egg, but isn’t white or light-beige—it’s not a bed bug egg!

This is actually a piece of pepper.

Bed bug eggs are about the size of a pinhead and are white, sticky and hard to see. The bugs lay their eggs in clusters of up to 50 at a time, usually on or near their host’s bedding. Bed bug eggs typically appear as tiny yellow-white dots that can be found along seams, folds and edges of mattresses, box springs and sofas—anywhere the bugs have access to feed on humans or animals. For example, you may find them at the corners where mattress meets wall and floor (especially if your bed has legs).

Bedbugs lay hundreds of eggs during their short lifespan which makes eliminating an infestation difficult without professional help from trained pest control technicians who know what they’re doing!

Don’t confuse these two things!

These two types of eggs are easy to confuse. They have many similarities, including their size and shape. Additionally, they are both oval-shaped and are usually either a tan or brown color—though the texture of each is different. Bed bug eggs will be smooth like an egg yolk, whereas flea eggs will have small spikes on them that look like pinpricks.

Flea eggs also tend to be more randomly distributed throughout your home than bed bug nymphs or eggs, so you may find one in almost any room of your house!
