The tent material is a fire resistant, water proof fabric. It has been treated with a chemical to protect it from the elements and make it last longer. The tent can be cleaned with soap and water, but do not use any cleaning chemicals on it.
The zipper is made of heavy duty industrial grade plastic and metal. It runs along one side of the house tent so that you can enter from either side or from both sides if you want to open up an area for ventilation or light to come in at night (we recommend leaving this open if your home has no windows). It’s protected by layers of velcro flap which are also waterproof to keep bugs out as best they can!
