You may want to consider these steps if you are in a situation where the bed bugs are not reproducing and you just want to keep them away.

• Use a bed bug cover for your mattress. Bed bug covers can help keep bed bugs from getting into your mattress, which will help prevent bites from occurring during the night and reduce their chance of reproducing on your bedding.
• Caulk and seal cracks and crevices around windows, doors, plumbing pipes, heating ducts (if applicable), baseboards and other areas where they might be hiding or entering through small cracks in walls or floors. This should also be done around window frames as well as any other potential places that insects could enter through gaps in wall surfaces such as electrical outlets, light switches or electrical sockets! Also spray some insecticide directly into these openings before sealing them up with caulking so that any bed bugs hiding inside will suffocate from lack of oxygen after the application dries over time.”

Clean all items that come in contact with your skin at night or during the day (like shoes). Bed bug bites can still occur even if there aren’t any live bed bugs on these items; however, it’s much less likely if they’re cleaned thoroughly since bed bugs usually feed on people once every few days.

Use a brush to clean your mattress by running it along both sides of each seam (you may want someone else to help hold up one side while you brush under).
