A trap for bed bugs is a simple trap that does not have to be fancy to work. The idea behind this trap is that it will catch any live bed bugs in your home, so you can see if you have a problem or not.

This is a very simple trap. Nothing fancy. There are more advanced traps that you can buy, but i doubt they work much better. We will sell these in the near future. Until then, this is a good way to help determine if you have bed bugs in an area.

• Take a plastic bottle and cut out the bottom.
• Put the lid on the top of the bottle, then cut off most of it so that you have something to glue to your trap (see picture)
• Glue your piece of cardboard in place with hot glue or super glue (i used hot glue)
• Cut two pieces of string about 10 inches long each and tie them together at one end (this will be your string trigger).
• Place this trigger into your bottle trap so that it goes through both openings and comes out where you can see it if needed when setting up traps around your home or apartment/house/room, etc…

• Use a bucket. This is the most basic option and can be made with just about anything round—a container, bucket or even pot will work fine. You’ll also need a light source and something that will dissolve in water such as dish soap or laundry detergent (the smellier the better). Poke holes in all sides of the bucket except one so that bugs can’t escape easily when they become trapped inside. Finally, fill with water and add your chosen scenting agent then place it by where you’ve seen bugs before—under your mattress or under furniture legs are common places for them to hide out during daylight hours.* Use a trap with an electric fan on top (or bottom).
