A few years ago I found a recipe for a deer repellent spray on Pinterest and decided to give it a try. The results were mixed at first, but after some trial and error I have finally created my own version of this spray that works really well at keeping deer away from my plants!

Ingredients:

• Vinegar (for its acidity, which is a natural repellent to most pests)
• Water (to dilute the vinegar)
• Lemon juice (for its citrus scent and its acidic properties; also acts as an insecticide)
• Dish soap (to help dissolve dirt on plants and repel ants, aphids, beetles and more)

Instructions

• Mix ingredients in a spray bottle.
• Spray around plants. It’s best to do this at night when deer are less active, or in the morning or afternoon when they’re less active, too. Spray every 3-4 weeks for best results.*

You can reapply every few days if needed for best results (the more frequently you apply it, the better).
