• Take a plastic bottle and fill it with water.
• Add some syrup or molasses, put the lid on and shake up the bottle to mix it together.
• Insert cotton balls into the top of the bottle so they are completely soaked in your DIY lure mixture and screw on the lid tightly again to keep them in place while you’re trapping bed bugs!
• Place this trap near your bed at night (but not under it!) – aim for midnight-to-dawn hours when most people are sleeping – but don’t worry about waking up every few hours to check on things!

Bed Bug Trap #2

If you have a plastic container, like a tub or bucket, you can use it to make a trap for the bed bugs as well. To do this, just put a piece of cardboard in the bottom of your container and then add tissue paper on top of the cardboard. Next, add some sort of liquid that will attract the bed bugs such as apple cider vinegar or beer. Then place your bed bug trap where they are hiding (you might want to try both inside and outside).
