A flea infestation is reason enough to stress out. One little flea can affect the health of your entire family. Getting rid of fleas in carpet from the comfort of your home is essential especially if you have kids and pets. The good news is there are home remedies for killing fleas on contact. Hey, I get it – my dog had fleas once too. Who doesn’t? Fleas are gross and annoying, and frankly, I was fed up with trying to kill them. However, I had heard that vinegar is a natural flea killer and decided to give it a shot. Within two weeks, we were rid of fleas naturally and felt like celebrating! • Avoid inhaling any dust particles that may be generated while applying DE (e.g., wear an N95 mask)

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a natural flea repellent that can be used to clean carpets, upholstery and pet bedding.

While lemon juice is a good cleaning agent, it may not be effective in killing the fleas directly. Instead, place some lemon rinds in your vacuum cleaner bag with the rest of the dirt and dust when you’re done cleaning to repel any future fleas or other pests during storage. Note that this method might not work as well if you have dark-colored carpets or upholstery.
