The role of ants in the environment is very important. They are under appreciated and many people look at them as pests. But in actuality, the integral part they play in ecosystems is more substantial than we often think. There have all been moments where you have seen ants on your countertops crawling over your food. Or perhaps you saw a termite infestation in your house and had to call an exterminator for help. In these instances, beyond being unappetizing, there’s a reason why you’re more likely to feel sick from eating food that was touched by an ant or that is infested with pests . Have you ever wondered what is good about ants? They are really small insects with 6 feet having wings and also have very strong wings that can carry their weight. My interest towards ants started when i was in the 4th grade. I really liked to watch ants, which my parents thought to be very interesting and attentive. I watched them for a long time and sometimes made them my pets for a day or sometimes for a week. As I grew up little older, my love towards ants only got bigger. I wanted to learn more about them and why they are so important in life on this planet. I went through so many websites on internet and books in school library but could not find anything that could satisfy my requirements. At last, after a lot of searches i came to know that ants are very important in our environment without them the life will be too worse to survive at all because they do an amazing work of transferring sand from one place to another or from one place to other using their body’s weight as an equipment which helps the plants growing around us.
