It is an urban legend that fleas can only live on dogs and cats. Although that’s the most common place you see them, they can in fact live on any warm blooded, living creature. But wait, aren’t fleas supposed to be all dead? After all, it’s still winter time. There have been signs of a mild winter but that doesn’t necessarily mean that there are less fleas. Fleas are nasty, pesky little bugs that have been tormenting humans in their many forms for thousands of years. From the dog flea to the cat flea and even the human flea, no one has been safe from their relentless pursuit of blood. I don’t mean to gross you out (I’ve made it through the first sentence), but let’s face it, whether we like it or not, fleas will be part of our future until we can find a way to eliminate them from existence. Fleas are one of the most annoying little creatures that come into our lives. They seem to come from out of nowhere and make themselves at home on our pets or even in our homes without us even knowing about them until we find our poor dog covered itches or ourselves covered in red ticks with itching bites. Whether you have a dog at home or a cat, or even other small pets, fleas will definitely be there to annoy everyone for days.

Fleas are tiny creatures that live on your pet, but they can also live in your home. They are very small, and you cannot see them with the naked eye. They feed on blood from your pets, and they lay hundreds of eggs every day.

The eggs hatch into larvae that feed on organic matter such as hair and skin cells from your pet. These larvae grow into pupae after about three days. The pupae then change into adults that look like miniature versions of adult fleas. They are brownish-gray in color, have six legs and antennae, and move around quickly to find food sources.

Adult fleas lay eggs all year long but most commonly during springtime or summer months when temperatures are warm enough for them to survive outside without freezing conditions killing them off before laying eggs; therefore it is important to treat your home with products that kill adult fleas before they have time to lay eggs inside your home if you wish to get rid of them completely without having any new ones coming back again next year after treating only once this year (since some people only treat once per year).
