How To Catch A Wasp
It’s not hard to catch a wasp, but it can be dangerous. Be sure to follow all of the steps below to ensure you are safe and able to capture your pest.
Step 1: Find Out Where The Wasp Is
Wasp nests are usually built in trees, under eaves, in attics or wall voids. If you suspect there is a wasp nest nearby, you should contact an exterminator immediately.
Step 2: Make Sure It’s A Wasp And Not Something Else
Wasps are often confused with yellow jackets, bees or hornets because they have similar coloring and body shape. However, there are differences between these insects that will help you identify them more easily.
Bees have black and yellow stripes on their bodies while hornets have yellow and black stripes; also bees tend to be smaller than wasps and hornets tend to be larger than either bee or wasps. Yellow jackets have yellow coloration instead of black; however they also have yellow stripes on their bodies like bees do but these stripes are thinner than those found on bees so look for this difference when deciding which insect it is that has invaded your space! When you think of a wasp, you probably don’t think of it as a pet. And while you may not have thought about keeping one as a pet before, you might be surprised at how easy it is!
Wasp-keeping is a great way to keep yourself busy and get some exercise at the same time. All you need is a jar and some sugar water—and we’ll walk through all the rest in this article!
First things first: what kind of wasp should you get? You can find wasps almost anywhere, but the most popular ones are yellowjackets and hornets. These two types of stinging insects will be your best bet for finding an animal that’s ready to be trained into becoming your pet.
If all else fails, don’t worry! There are plenty of other insects out there that could make good pets for you, too. Just make sure that whatever insect you choose won’t hurt anyone (or itself!) if it gets loose from its cage.
