There are plenty of ants running around in your home. You will find them in your kitchen and even in a bathroom. Of course, it is quite annoying to see those ants around the house all the time. If you feel like there are too many ants moving inside the house, then you should start looking for a way to get rid of these ants. One thing that you have to remember is that these little insects can be quite dangerous simply because if they sting someone in the house, it might lead to some serious problems. That is why you should always make sure you do whatever it takes to kill these ants before they can cause any problems. Ants in your home, no matter what species, can create a huge nuisance. Ants live outside or inside and don’t care about where you decide to build their colonies. They are dangerous in their own right without having to be poisonous or disease carriers, or outside of the issue of a stinging bite to unsuspected people walking into their nests, but oftentimes they are killed by people simply out of spite for the damage they do to things like wood furniture and house appliances. I love how people copy and paste the same article on the same topic over and over again. It’s like people running around two bees trying to sting them but ending up getting hurt themselves. Anyways, I thought why should I pay for some expensive exterminator when I can do it myself? Seriously though, I’m so tired of these little critters!
How To Kill Little Ants
1. Follow them all the way to their nest
The next step is to follow the little ants (or their trail) back to their nest. They don’t live very far from where you found them, so this is pretty easy to do—just keep following the trail until you find it! You could also just start digging around in your house until you find one of their nests, but that’s probably not a good idea because they might bite you.
You can usually spot ant nests by looking for small piles of dirt or sand that look different than the rest of your carpet or flooring material. It might also be helpful to sweep away any dust on top of these piles so that they stand out more clearly under bright light.
2. Spray some bleach in the trail to kill them
The next thing you need to do is spray some bleach in the trail. You should not use any other chemical, as it will not be effective and may even be toxic. The best time to do this would be at night when they are active. Make sure that you spray all of the ants—do not leave any alive! It is important that they are all dead, so if there are still some alive after you have sprayed them with the bleach, just repeat this process until all of them are gone. Once done with this step (or if you cannot get into their nest) then go on to step three!
3. Use ant spray if they don’t stop coming
- If you’ve already tried the other methods in this article, and the ants are still coming, it’s time to get serious.
- Use ant spray on both sides of the trail and around their nest.
- Spray liquid insecticides or dusts around your house, especially in places where you have seen an ant infestation before.
- Do not use traps indoors! They can be harmful to pets and children if they try to eat them. Traps are best used outside where they can be safely removed with no risk of harming anyone else.
4. Keep your house clean and dry and use some ant traps if you have a persistent problem
- Keep your house clean and dry.
- Ants love crumbs, so keep the crumbs cleaned up. Wipe up spills immediately, especially if they’re sticky or sweet (i.e., soda).
- Keep counters and floors clean—don’t let dirt pile up under appliances or in corners of rooms where you might not see it.
- Use ant traps if you have a persistent problem, but don’t forget to clean them regularly (daily is best) because dead bodies attract more ants! The same goes for any other sort of trap you use—empty them often so they don’t become a home for little pests themselves!
By blocking their path, you can prevent ants for coming in your home
If you have a persistent problem, you can try using ant traps. Ants are attracted to sweet foods, so some people find success with these methods by placing food items near their entrance and allowing them to carry it back out of the house. However, as soon as they encounter any other type of food source (such as your own lunch), they will typically forget about the treat they just went to such lengths to retrieve.
The best way to keep ants out is by making sure that your home is free from moisture and clutter. Moisture can attract mold growth which attracts tiny critters who want nothing more than an indoor refuge where they can hide from predators—like ants! Keeping things clean will also help discourage these pests from entering your home since insects are generally repelled by strong odors like vinegar or lemon juice which are commonly used in household cleaners
