• Store food in airtight containers.
• Keep counters, floors and cupboards clean.

You can make a simple sugar ant trap by mixing equal parts borax and powdered sugar together. When you are finished with the trap, you can dispose of it in the trash or compost bin.

In order to make your trap more effective, you should break up any large clumps of borax before adding them to the mixture. This will help prevent ants from avoiding your traps by climbing over them rather than through them. If you are working in an area where there is a high concentration of ants, consider sprinkling some additional baits in front of each new trap so that they have multiple options for food as they move around on their travels through your home or yard.
