They never seem to bother me when I’m at home so the last thing I want to do is go outside and pick up their nest. However, there are those rare times when that’s simply what you have to do. How To Make A Wasp Out Of Paper

Introduction

Welcome to the wonderful world of origami! Simply put, origami is the Japanese word for folding paper. You’re going to learn how to make a wasp out of a single piece of paper. Ready? Let’s start folding!

Step 1: Get some paper and color on one side of it.

Before you begin, there are a few things you’ll need to get started:

• A pencil and some paper. You can use any kind of paper as long as it’s not too thick or thin.
• A ruler. The ruler is used to make the wasp body parts and wings. It’s also how long your finished project will be when it’s all folded up into a folded piece of paper!
• Scissors (or something else that cuts). We want our wasps to look cute, so we’re going to cut out lots of little pieces! The more careful with your cuts, the better your wasps will look later on in this project when we start putting them together…

Step 2: Fold the paper into two.

Take a piece of paper and fold it in half. This is the most basic origami technique, and for good reason: it’s easy to do, doesn’t require much material, and can be applied to a huge variety of different models.

Fold the paper in half again. The resulting shape should look like this:

Step 3: Pinch the middle of the paper.

This will make for a more sturdier wasp, as well as giving it more shape. Make sure to do this on both sides of your paper.

If you want to create an even sturdier wasp, you can do another fold or two on each side of the body before continuing with Step 4.

Step 4: Take the right side of paper towards the left side.

• Take your square piece of paper and fold it in half.
• Then, fold the top right corner to the center line.
• Next, fold the top left corner to the center line so that you have a triangle shape. This is called an inside out fold because you’re folding your paper inside itself and not outside (like we did with step 3).
• Flip over your wasp so that it looks like this:

^ You will repeat steps 4–6 on this side of the paper as well!

Step 5: Flip it over and take the right side of paper towards the left side again.

You are now folding the paper over on itself, to create a tube shape. This will be your wasp’s body!

Step 6: Flip it over and do another step 5.

This step is exactly the same as Step 5, only now you’re going to flip it over and do another Step 5 on the other side. This will make the paper look like a kite.

Step 7: Fold the wings look like this and then make a little fold in right corner.

Step 8: Make a little fold in left corner,too.

• Fold the left corner of your paper down.
• Make a small fold in the left corner, too. It should be about 1/2 inch wide, and it should be folded downward. The fold should not be too small or large; it should be just right for your needs!

Step 9 : Put glue and stick on eyes,nose and mouth(I used card from scratch).You can use stickers if you already have them.

• Put glue on the eyes
• Put glue on the nose
• Put glue on the mouth
• Make sure you use enough glue so it sticks well

You have successfully made a wasp out of paper. Congratulations! You can now make more wasps, or go on to make other things with paper.
