Bed bug droppings are very small and resemble tiny black or brown spots that fall from the mattress or other furniture in a room. The bug feces can be found on the bedding, curtains, and even on walls.

The size of bed bug droppings is usually less than 1mm in length. They are oval in shape and have a rounded top. The color of the fecal matter is black or brownish-black in color. These droppings look like black dots when they are wet but turn into a dark-brown color as they dry out.

Bed bugs do not chew their food; instead, they suck their blood meal from their victim’s body through their piercing mouthparts called stylets. After feeding on human blood for several minutes, they leave behind a small amount of blood which dries up into a dark red stain on mattresses, sheets and other types of fabrics used in making upholstered furniture items such as couches or chairs etc…

These stains may look unnoticeable at first glance but can be easily seen if you use a magnifying glass for closer inspection of these areas where there is an abundance of bed bugs hiding out during daylight hours!
