Fortunately, there are lots of things you can do to repel flea from dogs, cats and homes. Some repel fleas naturally. Some work instantaneously. And some don’t work at all. Natural Ways To Repel Fleas

Introduction

The first thing to do when you’re trying to combat fleas is to go into the yard and let your dog run around for a good long time. This will help him get rid of some energy, and it can also help you find out where the fleas are in the yard. If your dog starts scratching his ears or chewing on himself when he’s running around outside, chances are there’s a flea infestation somewhere near that spot.

You should also keep an eye out for any dead leaves or grass that might be lying on the ground. These areas are prime breeding grounds for these insects because they’re warm and moist all year round. Make sure that you don’t let your pet play in these areas until they’ve been cleared up completely!

One way to repel fleas naturally is with essential oils like lavender oil or peppermint oil (both of which have been proven effective as repellents). This way, your pet will not only smell like vinegar but will also be covered in an acidic gel which is more likely to repel fleas than just plain acetic acid alone. For best results when using ACV as a repellent for dogs or cats (or even horses), spray it directly onto their fur before allowing them outside for playtime activities such as walks through parks or hikes through forests where these pesky insects might live close by outdoors!

Diatomaceous earth

Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring siliceous sedimentary rock, powdery in texture. It works as a desiccant and absorbs water very quickly, drying out fleas and their eggs.
