If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve already had one pest (um) too many. No see ums’ name is a misleading term because they can be seen (and felt). Although they’re the size of an ant, no see um bites are said to feel like a mosquito bite. No see ums are most commonly found in the late summer and early autumn. In fact, their name comes from the fact that their bites can be hard to detect because there’s very little reaction displaying that you have been bitten. Have you ever looked at the sky and notice small bugs flying around? Those are called no see ums and they can be pretty annoying. So what’s a good way for getting rid of them? A lot of people around here don’t know because no see ums are actually hard to kill.

No see ums are tiny biting insects that can thrive in both cold and warm climates. They’re so small that they’re almost impossible to see with the naked eye, which is why they’ve earned their nickname. These little pests bite and suck blood from humans, causing itchy welts, rashes, and swelling.

How do you know if you have a no see um infestation? If you notice small red bumps on your skin after spending time outside, particularly near lakes or rivers, then you very well could be dealing with no see ums. The bites often appear in clusters on the face or neck, but may appear anywhere on the body.

If you think that you have been bitten by a no see um and want to get rid of them quickly without having to spend money on an exterminator or pest control company, then try some of these natural remedies for getting rid of no see ums:

-Rubbing alcohol: A mixture of rubbing alcohol and water can be used as a repellent against no see ums because it smells bad to them and makes them feel uncomfortable when they come into contact with it. This method works especially well if combined with other repellents.

No See Ums are so small that they can’t be seen with the naked eye—only with a microscope. They’re about as big as a grain of sand (which is way bigger than you think!). They bite or sting people and animals to feed on blood. Bite marks often look like mosquito bites, but they’re not mosquito bites at all!

They’re also hard to spot because they don’t make any noise when flying around (hence their name). The only way to see them is by looking for their small white dots in the air. Even though they’re hard to see, No See Ums can still make you sick!

The best way to prevent getting bitten by a No See Um is by using insect repellent that has DEET in it. If you like using candles indoors during the summer months, try using citronella candles instead of regular ones because they have citronella oil in them which makes them repel mosquitoes and other pests like No See Ums.
