There are three main places on your dog where you’re likely to find fleas—their belly and chest area (called the “belly flop”), their neck area (called the “flea collar”), and their back legs (called the “bark”). Fleas will often congregate in these areas because they’re warm and humid—perfect conditions for them.

The best way to begin getting rid of these parasites is by using a comb or brush with stiff bristles. Start at your dog’s tail end and slowly work your way up toward his neck before working down again toward his tail end again.
