Tempo Insecticide for Grain Bins is a ready-to-use insecticide with cyfluthrin and piperonyl butoxide. Cyfluthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that has high toxicity to both insects and mammals. It works by interfering with the bug’s nervous system, causing paralysis or death within minutes of ingestion. Piperonyl butoxide, also known as PBO, is an ester often used as an synergist in pesticides to increase their efficacy against certain pests.

Target pests

Tempo Insecticide is a broad-spectrum insecticide that targets more than 20 insects. This product is designed for use on grain bins, granaries and commercial bulk grain handling facilities. It can be used inside or outside the structure, but it should not come into contact with humans, pets, livestock or wildlife. Tempo Insecticide contains 0.15% pyrethrins as well as 1% synergist piperonyl butoxide (active ingredient in PyGanic®). The active ingredient in Tempo is approved for use by organic farmers who are certified by Oregon Tilth.
