Bed Bug Killing Home Remedies

Is your home infested by bed bugs? You can use bed bug killing home remedies which can be very effective in helping you deal with the problem. Let’s learn about the effective home remedies to get rid of bed bugs. A few months ago, we posted a blog about bed bugs and the best hotels for avoiding them. It was one of the more popular blogs on our site.We recently decided to write an update based on where the most recent studies have been done on home remedies for bed bugs. After reading them all, we realized that no one seemed to be focusing on home remedies. Bed bugs are a nuisance that can be extremely difficult to deal with. The worst part about these nasty, little creepy crawlies is that it is nearly impossible to get rid of them by yourself. These bugs feed on our blood and will repeatedly attack when they’re ready. That’s why it is better to stay away from home remedies, and call the specialists right away.

Vacuum your house daily.

Vacuuming is an important tool in keeping your home free of bed bugs. Start by vacuuming up any bed sheets, bedding, mattresses and couches that are showing signs of infestation. You can use a regular vacuum hose attachment to get into hard-to-reach places such as the crevices of your mattress. Remove the bag after you’re done vacuuming and throw it away when finished so that no unwanted pests stay around from your previous cleaning efforts.

If you have a vacuum cleaner with a brush roll or beater bar then replace this with one that does not have these features for best results when dealing with bedbugs. If possible try to use a bagless model as they are easier to clean than those with bags and will make sure any remaining insect parts don’t re-infest areas where they live before they get chance to hatch again later on down the road (assuming there are still eggs left behind).

Get rid of clutter.

One of the best bed bug home remedies is to clear out your clutter. Bed bugs can hide in boxes, bags and other items that are piled up inside your home. You will make it easier to spot the bugs if you get rid of clutter, including clothing and linens.

Use a steamer

A steamer is a natural way to kill bed bugs. You’ll want to use one that has a temperature of at least 212 degrees Fahrenheit, or 100 degrees Celsius. Steamers are safe and non-toxic, so they’re an excellent option if you have children or pets in your home.

If you purchase your own steamer (they are available for both home and commercial use), make sure that the product comes with instructions on how to use it effectively. Most steamers have multiple settings for different temperature levels, which helps ensure that whatever pests you’re trying to kill don’t have time enough to escape from the hot water vapor before being killed by it.

Another option is renting a commercial-grade steamer from your local hardware store or home improvement center. This can be more cost effective than purchasing your own personal unit, since these rentals are usually quite affordable despite their high quality performance capabilities due largely in part due

Wash bed sheets daily in hot water.

The best way to kill bed bugs is by washing your sheets and bedding in hot water.

Wash sheets daily in hot water; wash and dry on the highest heat setting possible (at least 140 degrees Fahrenheit). If you have a high-efficiency machine, wash at 170 degrees. Wash all other items that come into contact with your body in hot water or place them in a plastic bag and put them through an entire cycle on the highest temperature setting for 30 minutes. Wash throw rugs, blankets, pillows and stuffed animals weekly using the same process as above.

Seal up openings.

Seal up your home.

If you have small cracks and crevices, seal these up using caulk or a sealant designed to kill bed bugs. Some of the best ways to seal your home include:

  • Using a steamer when traveling. If you’re going on vacation, always make sure that any luggage or other items that could be infected are properly vacuumed and sealed first. This includes suitcases, purses, laptop cases, small bags and other items that might not be able to fit in regular vacuums (such as a computer). Then use a specialized steamer to kill any remaining bugs before packing them up for travel.
  • Using mattress covers for mattresses and box springs during sleep-overs at friends’ houses; this helps prevent the spread of bed bugs from person to person via furniture surfaces like couches or beds where they may hide during the day while being active at night while other people are asleep nearby

Keep your home free of bed bugs by taking precautions

If you want to keep your home free of bed bugs, it’s important to take precautions. These include:

  • Vacuum daily
  • Wash sheets in hot water every day
  • Seal up all openings and cracks around your home’s perimeter. Bedbugs can also crawl through vents, so make sure vents are tightly sealed with mesh or caulk. Also make sure window screens are in good condition and not torn or ripped.
  • Use a steamer on furniture items that cannot be washed (such as mattresses). The heat will kill any bedbugs hiding inside the material, but be careful not to burn yourself when steaming because it gets extremely hot! If you do accidentally burn yourself while using a heat gun on an infested item such as a mattress cover, try applying ice packs immediately after removing them from the microwave oven where they were heated up for 5 minutes at full power setting before being placed directly onto affected areas of skin–this should help alleviate some pain associated with burns caused by exposure to high temperatures such as those generated by steamers used against pests like cockroaches which cause harm when consumed due their ability survive ingestion even though doing so means ingesting harmful substances found within their bodies like ammonia gas produced within their digestive tract which is expelled via urine excreted through anus located near tail end where feces collects into piles called “poop piles” which may carry traces minerals including
