Best Can Ants Get High

Can ants get high? Not in the way humans do (smoking or ingesting cannabis or other drugs), but their bodies do indeed produce some of the same chemical compounds that humans’ brains associate with being high. But even though we have these similar compounds and similarly structured brains, these chemicals are used very differently in ants and in humans. Are ants able to get high? You might have heard this question before but it’s not as obvious as you think. Before we can answer that question, we need to first define what is getting high. There are many ways of getting high but in this article, I’m going to focus on the physiological aspects of getting high because we’re all interested in ants being able to achieve altered states of consciousness by using substances like marijuana which is used for spiritual enlightenment (i.e., transcendental bliss).

Can Ants Get High

Can ants get high?

Yes, they can. And we’re going to tell you how.

Ants are social insects and most of them form colonies where each ant has a specific role to play in the colony. An ant colony is like a small society, with queens, soldiers, workers, drones and other specialised ants all working together to keep the colony functioning smoothly. In addition to these roles, some ants also have jobs related to foraging for food for the colony. These ants are called “foragers”. It’s important that these foragers find enough food so that their colony is able to survive and grow.

Ants use their antennae as sensors to pick up smells in their environment and they use these smells to find food sources. One of these sources is plant resins which are found on plants like cannabis plants (the marijuana plant). When an ant stumbles across a resin-rich part of a cannabis plant it will take some resin back to its nest where it will share it with other members of its colony who then rub it on their bodies – this is called “anointing”. The resin contains chemicals called cannabinoids which affect the brain systems of insects in ways similar to how THC affects humans’ brains – when an insect rubs itself with

Ants are social insects, so they don’t actually experience the same kind of highs that humans do. Instead, they rely on pheromones to communicate with each other, and they can use these pheromones to alter their moods and behaviors. For example, if an ant has just eaten a lot of food, she will produce a pheromone that makes all the other ants around her feel like eating too. This makes the colony work together well to find food and eat it—and then share it with everyone else in the colony.

This is different from how humans experience “getting high,” because we’re not really feeling anything when we do drugs; instead, our brains are being tricked into thinking that we are feeling something when really all our bodies are doing is reacting chemically to something we’re putting into them (that’s why it’s important to take precautions when using drugs).

So yes—ants can get high! But not in the same way humans do.
