Natural Pesticide For Bok Choy
Protect your bok choy from either mites or slugs with a natural pesticide.
To make your own garlic spray, you’ll need:
- 1 head of garlic
- ½ cup of vegetable oil (non-GMO)
- 2 cups water
Once you’ve gathered these ingredients, here’s what to do:
- Cut off the tops and bottoms of your garlic bulb and peel away the outer layer of skin. Then break up each clove into individual pieces with your fingers or a knife and put them in a blender or food processor with your oil and water. Blend until smooth and strain out any large chunks using a fine sieve or cheesecloth. Put the liquid back into its blender jar for later use, then store it in an airtight container in your fridge until needed. You can also double this recipe if you want extra sauce (we recommend making enough for several seasons!).
Dab the oil directly on the stems and leaves of your bok choy.
To apply the oil, use a cotton swab or other similar tool to dab a small amount of oil directly on the stems and leaves of your bok choy.
