About 20 minutes after it happened, I received a phone call from one of my neighbors. She said that her son had let their dog out, and the dog ran back towards the house with fire ants all over it. Her son’s hand had been bitten and he was in a panic. He was worried that his hand was going to be swollen!!! Luckily, I knew exactly what to do, and calmed him down by telling him I’d help him out. I was rushed to the Emergency Vet clinic with my 3 year old German Shepherd last night after he bit into a Fire Ant and ate it.
