how do you make a homemade bed bug trap

The bed bug trap is a homemade trap that can be used to catch bed bugs and prevent them from being able to hide in the crevices of your home. This trap uses five simple materials you can find around the house: a wine bottle, a cotton ball, Vaseline, water and dish soap.

To make this trap, you will need to cut off the top half of a wine bottle and place it into a jar so that it can rest on its side without falling over. Then, place a cotton ball soaked with Vaseline into the bottle so that it sticks out of the bottom. Fill up the jar with water until there is just enough room for one more item: dish soap!

Once you have completed these steps, place your trap somewhere in your home where you have seen evidence of bed bug activity (like under furniture). The bed bugs will climb up onto the cotton ball which has been coated in Vaseline and then fall into the jar filled with water and dish soap; this will kill them instantly!
