How Do Ants Make Babies

Ants are one of the greatest little creatures you can ever hope to meet. They are famous for many wonderful things and still the most efficient and successful hunters on the planet. They are capable of carrying several times their own weight; they manufacture their own medicines and they can even diagnose medical conditions in themselves! Given all this, it’s a wonder that anyone would ask how do ants make babies. But there’s no question of how amazing ants are to me, and I’m betting there’s none among you as well! Hey, you smiling there! You look like you have ants on your mind…I don’t blame you. They are fascinating creatures aren’t they? My name is Lori by the way and I’m a big ant lover. I literally love all animals but I have a special place in my heart for ants. So much so that when my kids were little and asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up (which totally threw me by the way!), I replied with “an entomologist.”

How Do Ants Make Babies

How do ants make babies?

Well, it’s a little more complicated than you might think!

But don’t worry—we’re here to help. In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of ant reproduction step-by-step. First, let’s start with what ants actually are: they’re social insects that live in colonies. They have four different kinds of castes (or classes): workers, soldiers, queens and males. These castes have different jobs in the colony.

The queen is the largest ant in the colony and lays all of its eggs. She also produces a chemical called pheromone that keeps all of the other ants working together as one big happy family. The male ants’ only job is to mate with her so that she can lay eggs. Once these eggs hatch into larvae, or baby ants, they become either workers or soldiers depending on their size and strength (larger larvae become soldier ants). Workers do things like build nests and feed the young larvae until they grow up into adults who then take over those jobs themselves!

So how do you know if an ant has found someone special? Well…
