They move all around, but how do they move? Fleas are a type of parasite that can be found on animals such as, cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, and even humans. While they live on animals they feed off of the blood. This can cause the host animal to lose large amounts of blood. One way fleas move is by staying close to their host using sensory organs called setae. Fleas are tiny insects living in dark, dusty sources of human dwellings. They can live for many years and reproduce several times a year. These parasites are especially dangerous for dogs and cats because they transfer several dangerous diseases and cause minor health issues as well. However, long and hard flea bites on humans can also cause many annoying rashes from which it is difficult to recover without medical assistance. Naturally, you must follow these basic rules if you want to get rid of fleas in your home: Anyone who has a pet has made that grim discovery at some point: fleas! If you’ve just discovered them on your pets, no doubt in an infested room, then you’ll be trying to get rid of them as quickly as possible. This can be quite challenging and a large temptation is to use the strongest chemicals you can find. However, this isn’t always appropriate or necessary for those of us with young children and pets. But how do fleas move?

They use their hind legs as jumping springs, propelling them through the air at up to 20 times their own height!

Because of this unique movement pattern (and because they can’t fly), fleas are very good at hiding in small spaces—so you might not see them until it’s too late.
