Thankfully, there are natural remedies you can use to get rid of fleas in your home at home. We all have a pet, and most of the time we love our pets like they are family. But sometimes a little critter isn’t just an annoyance. Sometimes a little critter is a seemingly immovable force that you just can’t get rid of. One of these pests is the common flea. While nothing hits harder than being eaten alive by fleas, sometimes you need to be more proactive in fixing the problem rather than waiting for ages hoping it will go away on its own.

How To Kill Fleas With Salt

Step 1: Clean the house

• Use a vacuum cleaner to clean up any debris that may have been left behind by the fleas.
• If you have carpeting in your home, use a steam cleaner to clean it completely. Make sure you get into all of the cracks and crevices where flea eggs can be laid. You can use an enzymatic shampoo or treat the carpet with baking soda mixed with water (1 part baking soda to 2 parts water). Allow this mixture to sit on the carpet for at least 15 minutes before vacuuming off of it.
• If you are dealing with an infestation on hard surfaces, use white distilled vinegar instead of salt; it works just as well!

Step 2: Get rid of the infested animals

You will want to begin by getting rid of the infested animals. This is important because it will help ensure that you are able to kill fleas with salt in your home. You can also use this method on your own pets, but if you do not have any pets in your home, then this step may not apply directly to you. If there are still animals living in your house, then we highly recommend killing the fleas with salt before trying any other methods for removing them from the environment.

If there are no pets living within your home and if all residents of said dwelling have been cured of illness caused by parasites such as fleas (if indeed such a condition exists), then consider contacting local authorities regarding humane pest management practices or calling pest control professionals who specialize in humane removal services so as not to put anyone at risk due primarily out of concern for safety concerns which might arise when dealing with pests like these since even though they might seem benign enough at first glance—but don’t let appearances fool ya!

Step 3: Vacuum the house

Vacuum all carpets and rugs. Vacuum all upholstered furniture. Vacuum all curtains, including the window treatments. Vacuum all bedding, including the mattress and box spring, as well as pillows and pillowcases (if you have a pet that sleeps with you). If your pet has a bed, vacuum it as well.

Step 4: Apply the salt mixture

Now that you’ve made your salt mixture, it’s time to apply it. Mix 2 cups of salt with 1/2 cup of water in a bowl and then pour the mixture on your carpets, rugs and furniture. Let it sit for at least an hour; if you want a faster result, leave it on for 15 minutes or so before vacuuming up the salt with a wet-dry vacuum cleaner (be sure to empty out all debris from your vacuum bag afterward). If there are still flea eggs left behind after this process, reapply another batch of salt mixture and let that sit for another 15 minutes before vacuuming again.

Step 5: Steam clean your floors

Using a steam cleaner, clean the flooring by moving the machine over the wood, tile or other surfaces. The steam will kill fleas and their eggs in the carpet fibers. This should be done twice, 24 hours apart to kill any newly hatched fleas that have hatched after your initial treatment.

A vacuum cleaner can also be used on carpets and upholstery to remove loose particles of dirt that may contain fleas or their eggs. Vacuuming once a week is often enough to keep flea infestations under control if your pet doesn’t bring them inside on its fur as well as killing any adult fleas which are present at that time

Step 6: Wash all clothes and bedding in hot water and dry in high heat.

If you have a flea infestation, it’s best to wash all of your items that have been exposed to the fleas with hot water and high heat. This is because fleas can survive for months without food or water, but only about a week without shelter (such as your pants).
