• Bed sheets, blankets, and upholstery are the most common places where fleas can be found. If you see tiny black dots moving about or if you feel like something is biting you, it’s likely that there are fleas present in your home.
• Check dark spots such as corners of your bedroom or under furniture for eggs and larvae. These are the first signs that there might be an infestation in your house. They look like small black dots but they’re actually very small bugs that hatch from eggs laid by female fleas who have bitten humans or animals earlier on (they do not need to bite again).
• Be sure to check under furniture such as beds and couches—these are often areas where pets lay down during their naps or when they sleep at night.

What to Do If You Find Fleas

You will need to:

• Remove the fleas that are there. The best way to do this is with a vacuum or by using a flea comb.
