Keep Finding Ants On Me

Why keeping finding ants on me? I wonder that everyday. I clean, wipe and scrub to get rid of ants. I wash my car and still they come. My dogs are covered in fleas and still they come! What do I have to do to get rid of these obnoxious little bugs? Do you have any suggestions?

Over the past decade, I have always found an ant or two on my shoulder. At first, I brushed it off and thought this would just be a thing that always happens to me. But then it became an every day experience. An occurrence that accompanied me to school and work. Nothing I did could stop it from happening, except for finding an ant killer spray.

I’m not sure why these ants just keep finding me.

I found the poem in a collection of mss. written by the poet’s wife, Mary Louise Moore Anderson. It was not labeled, however I feel that this possibility can happen and would like to share it with someone who would appreciate it.

Ah, the joy of finding these pesky little creatures – where I don’t want them. It must be one of those favorite feelings of a cat. LOL. Ants have well understood ant pheromones which they use to communicate and find food sources. All ants have some form of this chemical signal, usually from Dufour’s glands in the brain or sternum (like humans) but some species can produce it from other sources like the poison glands or even intestinal tissues.
