I want to see a picture of a bed bug! I promise I won’t be grossed out.

Calling all bed bug researchers! I need your help. Ever since our last post about bed bugs, I’ve been inundated with people (friends and family) asking me for a picture of a bed bug. They want to see if they have these darn creatures crawling around their home.

There are a gazillion sites on the Internet devoted to bed bugs and you can find an image of a bed bug (Cimex lectularius) on most of them. But finding a high resolution image of a bed bug is not as easy. Below are a few pics I could quickly pull up on Google Image Search which show what they look like up close.
