There are numerous ways of how to get rid of ants and some methods seem to work better than others. If you’re looking for effective ant removal steps, please read on… Ants are a common problem in the home and business. You see, ants move around a lot and they can be hard to find if you don’t know where to look for them. The most common places to find ants are in your kitchen and bathroom, but there are many other areas at risk of an ant infestation as well. ===Why Are Ants Dangerous?=== Because ants are small, you may not think these pests can do harm to anyone or any household item; however, this isn’t true at all. Ants are very pesky creatures that can cause severe damage to many things around your home or business. In fact, ants can destroy books and furniture, foods in your pantry and much more! In addition, ants can be hard on many living things in your little part of the world. These insects may carry diseases with them which could possibly hurt people or pets so it is very important to take care of them as soon as possible.
Natural Remedy For Getting Rid Of Ants
Step 1. Borax
Borax is a naturally occurring mineral that can be found in the earth. Borax has been used for centuries to get rid of ants, and it’s still one of the best remedies for ant infestations today.
How To Use Borax To Get Rid Of Ants
To use borax as an ant killer, mix equal parts borax powder and sugar in a bowl (or other container). The sugar will attract the ants to the mixture but because it’s so sticky, they can’t crawl out once they’re inside! When this happens, add more sugar until all of the ants have drowned in their own sweet trap. Once all of the ants are dead and disposed of safely outside your house, repeat this process every week or so until there are no more signs of an infestation anywhere inside or close by your home or property.
Step 2. Lemon
Lemon is a natural home remedy for getting rid of ants. It contains citric acid and other chemicals that can help to repel the ants. You can use lemon peel, juice or spray on your kitchen and bathroom counters to keep ants away. For example, you can add some lemon peels in your garbage cans so as to keep them away from the food scraps you have thrown away.
If you want to make an ant repelling spray using lemons then follow these steps:
- Take 1-2 drops of water in a bowl and add 10 drops of lemon juice into it (if not available then take lime juice instead). Mix well until completely combined together and set aside for 3 minutes before transferring this mixture into another container with an applicator tip attached at the end of it.*
Step 3. Baking Soda
- Baking Soda
Baking soda is a base and will cause the ants to die. It will also help neutralize the odors from the other ingredients. Sprinkle baking soda in the areas where you see the ants and let it sit for at least 24 hours before sweeping it up or vacuuming, so that they can pick up traces of their trail as they come across it.
Step 4. Cinnamon
Take 4 tablespoons of dried ground cinnamon and mix it with 1 gallon of water. Pour this solution around the perimeter of your home, preferably at night. You can also use this solution to make a spray that you can apply on areas where ants are seen.
If you want something more natural, you can use cinnamon essential oil as an ant repellent remedy as well.
Step 5. Apple Cider Vinegar
Another natural ant repellent is apple cider vinegar. In a spray bottle, mix equal parts water and apple cider vinegar. Then spray it around the places where ants are entering your house (like under the sink, near drains and windowsills). If you have pets or children who might accidentally ingest the mixture, dilute it even more with water before spraying. This method has worked for me in the past to get rid of ants quickly so I could relax again!
Step 6. Flowers
- Flowers. Ants are attracted to the sweet aroma of flowers and plants. A couple of potted plants in your kitchen or on the table will help keep ants away from food.
- Baking soda/vinegar mixture. As mentioned above, baking soda acts as a natural pesticide for ants because it dehydrates them and kills them by absorbing their moisture content, but only if you use enough baking soda! One teaspoon per eight ounces works well for most home remedies against ants (about 4 tablespoons). Mix the baking soda with about 1 cup vinegar for every 16 ounces of water that you use, then pour down the ant hole or anywhere else where you see an ant trail going underground. It may take up to three days before this mixture kills all of them off completely but it works really well when used consistently over time!
Those are the steps of making a perfect, natural remedy for getting rid of ants in your kitchen
This is the process you should follow to create your own natural ant killer:
- Mix 1/2 cup of borax with 2 cups of water, and stir until it dissolves completely.
- Mix 1/4 cup lemon juice with 1/4 cup water, and stir until all the ingredients are combined together in a smooth mixture.
- Add 2 tablespoons baking soda to 3 tablespoons warm water, then mix well to make sure that they’re evenly distributed throughout each other before letting them sit for 10 minutes or so on an open surface (like a plate).
- Use a fork or spoon to sprinkle ground cinnamon onto small pieces of parchment paper until they’re covered with enough granules that they won’t fall off easily during storage; once this step’s done cooking will begin just by placing these sheets near where ants tend to gather frequently within homes – usually along walls where there isn’t much light shining down upon them either because they like dark places too much or because these areas have been less cleaned up regularly due
