Natural Remedy For Killing Ants

Let’s face it, ants are incredibly annoying. The only thing worse than finding an ant colony in your home is watching them bring food back to the nest and then watch that nest expand with each passing day. Luckily, there are a variety of ways to get rid of ants naturally, and some ways that don’t involve toxic chemicals or expensive traps purchased from the store. The first step in learning how to get rid of ants naturally outside is to understand why you have ants in the first place. It’s important to remember that ants are looking for food and water. They will also look for shelter from the elements. When you begin figuring out how to get rid of ants naturally outside these are all things to keep in mind. I wrote this article to help people kill ants naturally outside, so that you can use spray-type insecticides or baits for a temporary measure until you can get your ant infestation under control.

Natural Remedy For Killing Ants

You can find this remedy at your local home improvement store, or you could probably find it in your garage.

You can use the boric acid to create a barrier around your home.

  • Buy boric acid at your local home improvement store or in your garage. You can find it under the name Borax, which is what most people call it.
  • You don’t need much–about half a cup will do for an average-sized house.
  • It’s best to keep boric acid in a sealed container, as moisture can cause it to break down and lose its effectiveness. If you’re using it as an ant killer, place some sugar on top of the powder (this will attract more ants) and then sprinkle with some more powder; this combination creates a barrier that ants won’t cross over but humans will still be able to walk through without getting coated with white dust! In addition, if you want something that lasts longer than 8 hours then use powdered sugar instead–it’ll last about 24 hours longer than regular granulated table sugar does!

Boric acid works by slowly killing off pests like roaches by attacking their nervous systems so they end up paralyzed before eventually dying off completely because they have no way left now except being taken care of properly while waiting until death comes naturally instead.”

What is it?

Boric acid is a naturally-occurring mineral that has been used for centuries as an insecticide. It is less toxic than table salt to humans and pets, so it’s safe to use around children and pets.

Boric acid powders are available at most hardware stores or online. It’s sold in both liquid and powder form, but if you’re looking for the best results, make sure you get the powdered version of boric acid—the liquid will dilute with water and become less effective at killing ants over time.

Boric acid.

Boric acid. It’s an all-natural product made from boron, an element found in soil and water. It’s been used since ancient times as an antiseptic, but today it’s most commonly used to kill roaches, fleas and other household pests.

Whether you’re looking for a natural remedy to keep ants away or want something that will kill them immediately, boric acid can be effective—but it’s important to know how much is safe for your home and family before using it around your home!

This stuff is super effective against ants and it’s pretty inexpensive. I think I paid 5 bucks for mine, and you only need a small bottle to make a huge batch of ant killer.

To make the ant killer, you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of boric acid powder (you can get this at any drugstore or online)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or shortening (optional)

You can use a small shaker container to mix all of these ingredients together, but it’s just as easy to mix them in a bowl. Just put two tablespoons’ worth into a bowl and add your other ingredients until you have everything evenly distributed throughout the mixture. You don’t need much more than that—you just want the powdery stuff evenly dispersed throughout so it will be easier for ants on the move to consume. While we’re on the subject though, I’ve found that adding some shortening or vegetable oil will help keep ants from clinging onto your homemade remedy once they find it!

After mixing everything together really well so there aren’t any clumps left behind, transfer it into whatever containers work best for where you’ll be placing your bait stations. You could also pour it into an old yogurt container if you wanted something with less surface area exposed; however mine were too shallow so I had trouble getting large amounts inside without spilling! If possible try not putting anything in here unless absolutely necessary because every little bit helps when trying out new methods like this one — even if only slightly 🙂

And the best part? It’s completely natural! No chemicals or harmful ingredients. Just plain old boric acid.

Boric acid is a natural mineral that comes from the earth. It is safe for humans and pets, and will not harm your health in any way. You can use it to kill ants on contact, or you can use it as a barrier around your home to prevent ants from getting inside in the first place.

Boric acid has been used by humans since prehistoric times, dating back to over 4000 years ago! It was used as an eye wash and later on as an antiseptic solution for wounds (it kills bacteria). In fact, boric acid was one of the main ingredients in Vicks Vaporub until 2004 – now it’s just petroleum jelly 🙂

If you are anything like me, ants are the worst! They’re pesky little pests that seem to multiply before your very eyes and they always find a way into our house no matter what we do to prevent them from coming in. But, thankfully there is an easy solution, and that’s by using boric acid!
