Bayer Systemic Insecticide For Fruit Trees
Bayer is a systemic insecticide that is taken up by the roots of the tree and moves through the tissue.
Bayer is a systemic insecticide that is taken up by the roots of the tree and moves through the tissue. It helps when other methods of pest control are not effective, as it kills pests on contact, as well as insects that feed on the plant, bore into it or feed on its roots.
Apply Bayer in early spring, shortly after bud break.
To apply Bayer Systemic Insecticide for Fruit Trees, follow the steps below:
- Water in the spray solution with a back pack sprayer or a misting nozzle on a hose end sprayer. The product must be applied to moist soil around the tree and the foliage of each tree must be wetted thoroughly.
- Apply Bayer in early spring when buds are just opening, but before there is any active leaf growth (preferably within 2 weeks of bud break).
- Make applications as needed throughout the growing season, but not later than fruit set.
Spray Bayer when pests first appear on the trees—usually in spring or early summer.
Bayer Systemic Insecticide is a water-based solution of imidacloprid and clothianidin that you can use on fruit trees. It is formulated to move through the plant tissue and into the roots. This allows for protection from insects that feed on the leaves, as well as those that burrow into the trunk and branches of your tree.
This product should be applied when pests first appear on your fruit trees—usually in spring or early summer. Apply Bayer Systemic Insecticide with a handheld sprayer or hose-end sprayer at least once every seven days until there are no signs of pest activity on your plants for two consecutive weeks (or until the end of summer). When it comes time to reapply, use the same method as before: follow label directions regarding how much product per acreage size (measurement) you should apply, then mix this amount with water in a tank or bucket until it’s sufficiently diluted; apply using either a handheld sprayer or hose-end sprayer while making sure not to exceed any pressure limits indicated by manufacturer instructions; keep all containers tightly closed after each use; do not store near food sources where children might ingest residue accidentally!
Spray Bayer into the soil around an individual tree or fruit bush by watering it in around the plant’s base.
When planting or transplanting, insert the Bayer Systemic Insecticide for Fruit Trees into the soil around the plant’s base. Apply Bayer in early spring, shortly after bud break. Mix 1 tablespoon of Bayer with 1 gallon of water and apply as a drench to the soil under each tree or bush by watering it in around the plant’s base.
Mix 1 tablespoon of Bayer with 1 gallon of water.
The first step is to measure out the Bayer insecticide in a measuring spoon, using 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Next, mix the Bayer and water in a bucket. Then pour it into a spray bottle using a funnel (or you can also mix a larger batch in a watering can).
Spraying trees with Bayer at the right time can kill off beetle infestations that usually destroy fruit crops.
The best time to spray your trees is when the beetles are still soft-bodied and before they start laying eggs. You can do this by mixing Bayer with water and applying it directly to the soil around a tree or by spraying the Bayer onto one side of a branch, from where it will seep into cracks in the bark and kill beetle larvae.
Avoid spraying fruit trees during dry weather because parts of their leaves may be easily damaged; if you do decide to spray this way, wait for rain or for dew to form on those leaves before doing so. If your fruit trees have already been infested by bugs such as aphids or caterpillars but you still want to treat them with Bayer systemic insecticide, apply it at least two weeks before harvest so that its chemicals have time enough to work their way through insects’ bodies as they feed off plants’ leaves (if possible).
